Hello to all reading this

I've finally got one of my artworks ready to be posted up, but Deviantart keeps insisting it's a JPEG, not a BMP, in spite of me making a BMP countless times. How do I get past this very irritating barrier please? Takes me forever to get this pic even close to fine-tuning, and then this happens...
